Kim Kardashian has built a career based on her beauty. Arguably one of the most beautiful women ever to live, Kim is often overlooked for her business acumen. In many ways, I believe Kim is frequently underestimated and viewed as a media creation and nothing more. That’s a mistake.
Kim understands how the game of celebrity is played. She has created a brand that continues to increase in value. Like Dolly Parton, who created an over-the-top version of a country singer that generated hundreds of millions in concert ticket sales, record albums, and product sponsorships, Kim has built a business empire focused on her looks while behind the scenes, she uses her brain to build her brand even more.
One of the brands that I follow closely is SKIMS. Launched in 2019, I recognized the potential value of the brand. Today, the company is worth $3.2B. Kim deserves the credit for starting the company and growing the brand. I continue to believe SKIMS will be acquired with Amazon or Target considered likely buyers. I believe the company that should acquire SKIMS is lululemon.
At age 42 and a mother of four children, Kim has built a great career and she is financially secure. On the outside, Kim appears to be happy and content. I’m not so sure. I believe Kim is beginning to ask, “What’s next?” for her and her career.
In my opinion, I believe Kim should run for the U.S. Senate as a Democrat to replace the retiring Dianne Feinstein.
Based on some initial research, I believe Kim should be considered the favorite due to her overwhelming name recognition. Kim will be able to convince many celebrities and high-powered people to support her campaign. Kim will attract large crowds who will come to hear her speak. Kim is comfortable in front of crowds and she certainly knows how to perform.
Will Democrats accept her? Will the people of California believe Kim can do the job? Yes, I believe they will but it will be up to Kim and her campaign team to craft a message that will excite voters.
If Kim runs for the Senate, she’ll be laughed at and criticized. Kim will also be underestimated. Can Kim win? It will require a lot of work but based on the other candidates expected to run, Kim will generate the most excitement, and that gives her an advantage.
I must point out that the election of Donald Trump as President changed politics forever. Everyone claimed that Trump couldn’t win. He did. Anyone who claims Kim can’t win should remember the lessons of Trump.
I don’t know if Kim will enter the race but I hope she does. Senator Kim Kardashian can become a reality for the most popular reality star in the world.
